Shed a Tear, Shakespeare

"This is the blog I will be using to completely destroy and rebuild my views on the Bard as I journey through text after text, play after play, and so on and so forth. Prepare yourself, dear Sir William, for a rebuttle full of crazy sadness, humor, and reflection during the few months I shall be indulging in your fancies. I expect you to shed a tear, Shakespeare."

“HAMLET: Alas, poor Yorick! I knew him, Horatio: a fellowof infinite jest, of most excellent fancy: he hathborne me on his back a thousand times.” (5.1.183-186)
Ah, yes. Combining the stories of Hamlet and The Lion King…. In the animated movie, Simba, in the role of Hamlet, is seen from even before his journey to “England.” I only thought it would be fitting to have Yorick, who was Hamlet’s jester growing up, be there at his birth. However, this Prince is not the one Yorick had in mind…. Nor is Yorick the baboon Simba was expecting to hold him over the crowd of gathered animals.
